  • Tuesday on Jasmine

When we saw the date for this Toast to Tuesday we were so excited because it gives us one last shot to share a delicious St. Patrick's Day cocktail with you! It's almost perfect timing, you still have plenty of time to run out to your nearest Wine & Spirits Store (if you live in PA) or basically run out to the store if you live anywhere else, grab the very few supplies you don't have at home already to make this and head home. Simple, easy AND now you have the ingredients to make the BEST St. Patrick's Day drink we have had in a very long time! It is the perfect color for a St. Patrick's Day party or for just sipping around the house with a friend. We promise this drink will not disappoint and when you taste it, you will thank us!

Fuzzy Leprechaun cocktail, a green drink garnished with an orange slice and a cherry.

The Fuzzy Leprechaun is definitely one of the best St. Patrick's Day cocktails that we have tried! Soooo much better than green beer of any kind, and we are not much into whiskey so we pretty much hit the jackpot when we found this delicious cocktail! Like we said, it is the perfect bright green color but tastes just like a peach. WHAT??? You had us at peach, how about you? We love anything peach and are looking forward to spring and summertime here on the East Coast that will bring all of the wonderful fresh fruits and produce. We are so fortunate to live in such a big farming community, with such easy access to local fresh foods. While a peachy cocktail may not currently be your go-to thought among your normal Guinness, Whiskey, or Green Beer on St. Patrick's Day, we promise if you try it you're gonna love it!

The ingredients for the Fuzzy Leprechaun, Peach schnapps, pineapple juice, Faber Vodka, Orange juice and Blue Curacao.

Odds are you probably have some vodka in the house and orange juice for that matter (I mean if this were a different day maybe we would be talking screwdrivers ) you really don't need many more ingredients...peach schnapps, blue curacao, and pineapple juice. That's it, maybe some fruit for a fun garnish but otherwise you are set.

  • 1 oz. Vodka

  • 1 oz. Peach Schnapps

  • 1 oz. Blue Curacao

  • 1/2 oz Orange Juice

  • 1/2 oz Pineapple Juice

  • Optional Garnish: Orange & Cherry

  • Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice

  • Strain into glass

  • Garnish with fruit

We used a hurricane glass for this drink for a few reasons, a larger pour, the color was so gorgeous to not show so much of it, and with a hurricane glass you are able to fit a nice garnish in the glass as well as room for a straw. Though not listed as a garnish we opted for some green cotton candy as well. Kinda though it fit with the name fuzzy leprechaun so we went for it. That's the best part about food and cocktail presentation, you can do whatever your heart desires, have fun, enjoy it!

But, don't say we didn't warn you, this drink is one of those that will creep up on you and then strike...almost like a real leprechaun. So please tread lightly and drink responsibly. Best served on a night you are staying in or plan to Uber, it's magically delicious as they say 🤣

2 Fuzzy Leprechaun drinks cheering together. A green drink with an orange and cherry garnish.

According to Irish legends, people lucky enough to find a leprechaun and capture him can barter his freedom for his treasure. While you may not be able to catch a real leprechaun this year, you can make a fuzzy leprechaun and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style! But ok, really quick and it's probably a post for another time, but have you seen all of the cute leprechaun traps that are being posted??? These kids have such imaginations, it really makes our hearts smile when we see the kiddos being active and creative instead of glued to an electronic device! There is definitely a time and a place for everything, do not get us wrong, but giving kids an outlet to create and use their imaginations is so important too!

Gosh, that got very serious for a toast to Tuesday post...back to our Fuzzy Leprechaun! How will you Go GREEN this year? Do you attend any parades or community banquets? We are planning to offer this drink as an option for some of the March Madness basketball game gatherings we are hosting! How will you celebrate St. Patrick's Day this year and what is your go to drink on St. Patrick's Day? Drop us a line and let us know. Better yet give this drink a try and let us know what you think!
