10 MEMORABLE MOTHER & SON DATES

Life moves so fast these days, it's easy to get stuck in the everyday routine. Wake up, go to work, come home do chores, make dinner, shower and get ready for the next day. All the while our kids are growing up right in front of us. Sometimes we find ourselves in that cycle too. Well it's time to break that and we have some great ideas for some Mom time with your son.
When I found out I was having a boy, I panicked. I didn't know anything about what boys like to do. But I have found over the years that they aren't that difficult and love to do just about anything as long as they are with you. Check out some ideas below for some fun Mom and Son "dates"
1. Tee Up!
Head over to the links get a bucket of balls and practice your swing. If you have younger kids a round of mini golf is always fun too!

2. I Scream You Scream
We all scream for Ice cream! Head over to an Ice Cream Parlor and enjoy a sundae with your son. While you are eating, take the opportunity to talk with him about what has been on his mind lately.
3. I Like to Move it, Move it
Get active, go for a bike ride or run together. It's important to set a good example when it comes to exercise, so why not do it together.

4. No Chick Flicks
Have a movie night at home or go out to the theatre. But allow him to choose the movie and the snacks. An action packed adventure or spy movie may be right up his alley
5. Fold in the Cheese
Hop into the kitchen together and make something. Pick a new recipe or an old favorite and make it together. We love Chili in our house, check out this recipe from The Wholesome Dish it's one of our favs!!!
6. Aqua Adventures
So many different options...swimming, tubing, fishing. Whatever your son enjoys select one and jump in.
7. Do a Little Learning
Visit a National Park, enjoy the day learning some history and exploring our beautiful country.
8. Hershey Park Happy
Go to an amusement park. Hersheypark is local for us here in Central Pennsylvania and is a great idea to get outside and play.
9. Pokemon, Catch them All...
If your son enjoys video game/computer/laser tag, grab a controller and some take out and veg in front of the TV for a few hours with him. Bonus is that you will know what he's talking about when he brings these games up in everyday conversation. Be sure to get your game face on...don't just let him win :)

10. Animal Adventures
Does your son love animals? Head over to the zoo or aquarium let him lead the way. Which animals, shows or exhibits does he want to see?

Of course this is not an all inclusive list, just activities that have worked for us. What activities do you like to do with your son?
